About Me
Hello, my name is Alex, and this is my website. I am a graduate of the Web and Mobile Application Development program at New Brunswick Community College in Moncton, NB, Canada. I was the student council president for NBCC Moncton. I chose to run for president because I wanted to give back to my school and because I wanted the experience that would come with the position.
I was born and raised in Moncton, NB, Canada on May 19 th , 1998. I have studied programming since I was 10 years old, with my first program being a mod for the video game Garry's Mod . I have found that I have a natural talent for programming, having spent many hours devising many different programs both for personal use and for use in school. I graduated from Harrison Trimble High School in 2016. During my time at Harrison Trimble, I participated in the school band as a flutist. I enjoyed working with my bandmates to perform many times for various assemblies as well as at Homecoming Games.
I enjoy many things in my free time. My family made a tradition of going camping every summer and I have loved it ever since I was little. I always enjoyed nature and fell at peace when going on hikes through the forest. I play Dungeons & Dragons every Tuesday and Thursday, and greatly enjoy it. My favourite thing about D&D is the boundless choice the players have. I also enjoy playing video games, especially story-drive games, such as RPGs. One of my favourite games is Fallout: New Vegas, and I enjoy watching YouTube and various TV shows and Movies.
I also enjoy cooking and baking. It's my favourite method of being creative because you can eat the finished products. I'm collecting recipies that I've tried and enjoyed. You can take a look at what I've got so far on my Recipes page.
Science fiction is one of my favourite genres as it shows how far humanity can dream, and what we might achieve if we work together. Because of this I have watch a great many science fiction shows. My favourite sci-fi show is of course Star Trek, specifically Star Trek: The Next Generation, as I enjoy the boundless optimism of the show. While the other Star Trek shows hold a special place in my heart, I am also a huge fan of Stargate, Fringe, The X-Files, Doctor Who, The Orville, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and The Good Place.
